Day 121/366 – Pechorin. Physician Intern in New York. Nike Dunk Low SB “Tokyo Taxi”.

The idea of opening posts up to readers from around the world has crossed my mind a number of times. I recently received a nice email from Pechorin over in New York and received it as a sign to give it a try. So – my thinking is I will eventually seek to feature one pair of kicks from around the world each week. I’ve created a “Contact/Want in?” tab at the top of my page with my direct email address. Please reach out anytime if interested in contributing to 366DOK!

Name: Pechorin

Age: 29 • Hometown: Palm Beach / Current city: New York • Occupation: Physician Intern

Passion for kicks: “I’ve always really liked sneakers as both a style feature and as an art medium. There is so much variation and opportunity.” Pechorin’s favorite pair in his closet is the Nike SB Dunk Low “Tiffany” – his dream pair would be the same pair in HIS ACTUAL SIZE (men’s 10.5 instead of 11.5). His favorite stores to pick up new kicks are Flight Club in LA or NYC.

Today’s kicks: Based on what looks good with his scrubs, the chance that he could get something scary on them (blood or worse) and if he’s at the clinic (instead of the hospital), he’ll often go with the Cole Haan LunarGrands.

Kicks on Pechorin’s feet: Nike Dunk Low SB “Tokyo Taxi”

He got them in Tokyo around 2009 while his brother was teaching English over there. His fondest memory was walking around the Harajuku District with his brother in them. Nike SB celebrated cities around the world with the most used form of transportation other than public transit = taxis. Pechorin’s kicks resemble the taxi cabs in Tokyo (other cities featured were New York, London and Paris). Thanks for reaching out and kicking this off, Pechorin!
