Day 133/366 – Portland Doggie Dash. ~3,000 dogs, owners and pairs of sneakers to be seen.

Today was Oregon Humane Society’s 25th annual Doggie Dash. It’s billed as the largest gathering of dogs in the NW (roughly 3,000 dogs and their owners). The goal of the event is to raise $395,000, which will help the humane society find homes for 11,000 pets this year.

So, I woke up at 620am and picked up my brother and sister-in-law’s Goldendoodle, Chloe, whose calendar was luckily wide open for the morning. It was a great dog-watching and shoe-watching event, I must say! We both steered clear of the landmines. 🙂
