Day 145/366 – There’s no where to go but UP for Scott in his Nike ACG Lava Dunk High’s.

Name: Scott

Hometown: Lake Oswego, OR • Current city: Portland, OR

Scott earned a degree in Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management from Sierra Nevada College and Sonoma State University. While working for the Forest service up in Eastern Washington, he made his way down to Portland for a climbing trip with his younger brother. Scott was determined to move back to Oregon after his visit. He searched the Nike job listings and by total chance, he saw they were in need of a Rock Gym Program Lead. This was his chance! Scott applied and landed the job about a year and a month ago.

Scott started climbing around age 19. He changes it up with bouldering, top roping, lead climbing and sport climbing to name a few. It’s a great mental escape – he is super focused on the task at hand. He enjoys the fresh air and quiet outdoor settings. The season most often determines the location.

Kicks on Scott’s feet: Nike ACG Lava Dunk High’s

The moment he saw these boots at the Nike Employee store about a year ago, he thought: “That’s the shoe!” They compliment himself as a person in terms of his interests and personality. They are simple, lightweight and they do the job well. He enjoys wearing them when scrambling around aka non-technical climbing.

Favorite climb? “Corrugation Corner at Lover’s Leap in South Lake Tahoe. It’s pretty torn out. About 400 feet tall. You start on a ledge 100 feet up. Laughter helped ease the nervousness…” 🙂 Pictured above. Whew. Be safe and have fun, Scott!
